About Us

The West Georgia Shutterbugs welcomes all photographers - from beginner to professional, both digital and film. All it takes is a passion for photography! The club’s purpose is to educate, encourage and expand the photographic knowledge and capabilities of its members.

The club meets the second Tuesday of each month with meeting starting at 6:30 PM at the Neva Lomason Memorial Library, 710 Rome Street, Carrollton, Ga. 30117.

The Shutterbugs strive for fun and fellowship in an atmosphere conducive to asking questions and sharing knowledge. We learn a lot from each other’s point of view. There is a monthly show and tell for all members to take part in.

“Shoots” are planned which provide great opportunities for exploring beautiful sites throughout the state of Georgia and beyond, as well as unique opportunities for learning from each other.

"Workshops” may include post production Photoshop techniques, matting and framing, exhibition strategies, landscape photography, studio lighting, time lapse and many others. We organize workshops around current member interests.

“Exhibits” of various kinds offer members an opportunity to share work with the West Georgia community. Over the past year our photographs have been displayed at West Georgia Regional Library and other government buildings, local restaurants and galleries, also Callaway Gardens Discovery Center and at several Festivals in Georgia. Through these venues, our photographs can be offered for sale.

“Website” Many of our members have their own personal websites where many pictures may be viewed.
Visitors are invited to join us at the meetings.
